Top Rank is under investigation. Bob Arum has had to pay a fine before for giving money to a judge. Boxing has been run by the mob (or other despots) for years. It's part of the reason I lost intrest. All kinds of unfair decisions. The lack of intresting fighters. It has gotten better recently though. People pay to see white fighters.

I hope so. Boxing needs something interesting to start happening. Maybe a white champ would do something, anything. I am still amazed at the very real possibility of George Forman being a ticketed fight.

Hey fred, get your klitchos straight. Vitali is the one who fought lewis. Vlad isn the other one.
Theres lots of potential white boys out there. But i am not hopeful of any except Vitali. But ofcourse Vitali will probably loose to lennox in a rematch. Due to this failure Joseph Stalin or soemone like that will probaly behead him.

LENNOX LEWIS RETIRED TODAY. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/3460737.stmOn a side note. This almost Guanrantees a white heaveyweight champion. Not just heaveyweight champ. But universally recognized heaveyweight champ. As lewis has now retired. The #1 and #2 ranked in the WBC should fight for the title. As of January 28th #1 was Vitali Klitcho and #2 was Corey Sanders Its all the more sweeter as Corey Sanders is the guy who KO'd Wladimir Klitcho. THIS IS GREAT. A Fairwell to Lennox Lewis. A brilliant fighter who beat EVERYONE. Note Lewis is the first reigning Heaveywieght chamop to retire since Rocky Marciano.

OH MY GOD MAN, George Foreman is in training again and says he wants one more fight. Now right before Lewis Klitcho he said should Klitcho win he wants Klitcho. Klitcho sounded like he was cool with it cause foreman was such a legend. Could this be what Foreman is shooting for.? Or perhaps an old fogey match like Foreman vs Holmes. Holmes has already challenged Foreman. Either way i will rooting for the fat old basterd. www.foxsports.com/content/view?contentId=2131818

I did not recall him fighting Shannon Briggs in 97, that would have been Briggs in his (limited) prime. He says ONE more fight. Sure, right. Why bother getting together for ONE fight. If he wins, he'd get another payday. If he loses, he'd want to go out on top. Dude just waited until Lennox, Holyfield, and Iron Mike all out the division to reclaim his place. Perhaps Roy Jones inspired him? This is too much. I gotta grill something...

Strange things occuring in the middle weights. Me thinks De la Hoya and Trinadad got a plan up their sleave. They own houses right next to each other in Puerto rico and De la hoya goes to visit him often to try and get him to come back to boxing. Trinidad has already announced his coming back now.
Trinidad is negotiating a fight with sugar shane mosley. De la Hoya is negotiating a 2 fight deal with Hopkins. First hopkins and de la hoya would fight on the same card vs. different opponents. Then they would face each other. Strange to me that Trinidad is facing the only other man who beat De la Hoya. Now on the record Shane beat de la hoya twice. I was with half the population who thought de la hoya won the second fight. In any case Mosley is the man with all the skills to beat de la hoya. But not beat many others.
Now de la hoya is gonna face the onyl man who ever beat Trinidad. No way trinidad ever beats hopkins. Not ever. But De la hoya might just be able to. I think they plan to beat each others adversary and then meet up.
I think Trinidad will beat mosley but i dont think any one in the world beats hopkins at his own weight. We shall see though.
A De La Hoya vs. Hopkins would be the bomb.

Andrew Golota is back.
Nicknamed "The Foul Pole" because of his tendency to foul and the fact that hes polish Golota first gathered world respect by beating the crap out of Riddic Bowe. He lost that fight due to DQ. The same exact thing happened in the rematch. Lots of people love this guy and say he could have been great. My take was that he fouls whenever hes losing. Making a consious discission that its better to be DQ'd then KO'd.
Anyway hes had a few fights now and is back. Just signed with Don King and will added to the undercard ofr unpcoming Vlad Klitcho fight. Possible fighting Frans Botha or perhaps even George Foreman though i doubt it. I'm thinking he could end up with title shot vs. Ruiz or Byrd.
I like watching Golota fight cause hes mad tough and hits made hard. Perhaps could have been a real contender. But his big fights often end terrible and unfulfilling.
Vs. Bowe --DQ'd for continuous low blows-Starts Famous riot
Vs. Bowe 2 --DQ'd for combo to the nuts- AGAIN
Vs. Lewis --KO'd in like 10 seconds. Appearred defensless. Later said he was drugged. I dont know
Vs. Grant ---Beats the crap out of grant only to get KO'd
Vs. Tyson --Does great for many rounds only to quit.
I once saw a list of all the fouls he has ever committed in ring and it is atrocious. Headbutts, Low blows, Kicking, wresting, elbows, and yes he has even bit someone on the shoulder in the ring.

De La Hoya will Face WBO Middle weight champion Felix Sturm on June 5th. Note De la Hoya was originally a welter weight. Then moved to Junior Middle wieght. Now hes up to Hopkins wieght class. On the same card Hopkins is to face some bum. Then a few months later De la Hoya is slated to fight hopkins for all 4 titles. Hopkins is currently Unified Middleweight champ (Wba,Wbc,Ibf).
Mike Tyson will return to fight in mexico in June aswell. He says hes relaunching his career. Mike is dead broke right now so who knows but i am always willing to watch that freakshow.

More news form the front.
HOLYFIELD IS COMING BAKC AGAIN
This guy is determined as hell. He just held a press conference and here are some quotes.
"I just don't quit, And because I don't quit, I eventually get what I want."
"I know that I can be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, I'm not in denial about my age, but I also know I can still win."
This is insane. In his last 2 fights his left arm just did not work. I pray he does not get hurt. But the way i see it hes been in so many wars that he will be mentally retarded in 5 years anyway so why not let him fight. I'll be rooting for him.
I dont really see Holy getting a real fight with anyone. But perhaps they will set him up to fight George. I would prefer not but hell, I'll watch. Note that Holy beat george years ago.

Great fights last night.
Underdog Winky Wright beat the crap out of sugar shane mosley to become first unified super welter weight champ in 30 years.
Joe Mesi beat the piss out of former cruiser weight champ Vissily Jirov but Jirov would not go down or stop punching. In 9th round he knocked down mesi. In last round he knocked Mesi down twice more and nearly KO'd. Mesi barely got out with his life. Descision went to mesi as it should have but it was fun. I'm starting to worry about the wonder white boy from Buffalo.
