Ok, i know i'm like the only insano boxing fan but i'm startinng this thread anyway. Heres the curent state of affairs. 3 main heavy weight belts and and a forth not so important one.
The big 3 are currently held by Chris byrd, lennox lewis, and Roy jones. The 4th (WBO) is held by south african white boy Corey sanders who KO's vladimir klitcho.
Lewis says he aint fighting again until next year. So vitali klitcho is gonna fight someone else on december 6th. Hes keeping it a big secret like its someone cool or something. I bet it is no one cool.
Meanwhile Chris byrd will fight the only guy who is willing to fight him. 2 reasons why people avoid chris byrd. Hes really good and he is notorious for no one watching his fights. If you fight chris byrd yhou make no money. So he fighting ciban herb ass Fres oquendo. Though i bet its interesting fight to watch.
Roy jones is gonna bitch out and return to his old weight class to fight Antonio tarver. The WBA will then strip him as they have already planned a Vacant title match between Number one and two contenders. Tua and rahman. THis should be great fight.
The only other thing of interest is in october when Holyfield faces ancient middle weight champ James Toney who is actually really really good.
In the lower weight classes all we got is De la Hoya vs shane mosley 2.
Oh yeah and in case no one has heard Tyson will be fighting in k1. A mixed martial arts thing.
Should be fun.
Of all that shit i am really excited about rahman and tua fighting for a title. I hope my buddy Tua finally does it.,
GO SAMOA

Tua should kick Rahman's ass. But I thought he would have done that a while ago... Damn Samoans. Kitchko is a moron. You don't keep opponents as secrets in boxing, you promote the damn fight. Unless you do not have an opponent and the only thing to promote is that he is a mystery opponent. Unless it is Roy Jones or Iron Mike, then all is forgiven and let's get it on. Oh, and isn't Holyfield due for another heart failure or two? I am a Christian and I really doubt that God wants his people punching others for dollars. Just a hunch. Old Holyfield really takes his faith to task and will likely do irreparable harm to his body, Mohammed Ali style.

Boxing update: Well De la Hoya beat Shane mosley a week ago only to have the judges give it to Mosley. Anyhow de la hoya won and i will fight anyone who says otherwise. Now Mosley is talking about fighting Fernando Vargus or a third De la Hoya fight. De la Hoya talks about retiring. I hope de la hoya fights and beats mosley again. If not i hope Vargus KO's Mosley.
Then last night Heavyweight champ Chris Byrd fought Cuban technical boxer Fast Fres Oquendo. Oquendo had a wacky gameplan where he would make Byrd chase him. Then he would charge byrd delivering a few inaccurate punches and clinch. He must have put byrd in 25 headlocks during the fight. Anyhow come the end of the fight it was apparent that Fres would win the decision. I thought Fres fought like a b*tch and that the ref did not do his job so as to take off points for clinching. However If the fight was to be judged as all others have been in the past then I would say Oquendo would win the decision and be new heavyweight champ. Anyhow Byrd got the decision by an enormous landslide. The fans did not like it, HBO commentators did not like it and george did not like. Me, i liked it. The guy was outmatched and used mad b8tch tactics half of witch are illegal yet not inforced. IE It is illegal to punch behind tghe head. It is illegal to clinch extensivley It is illegal to not agress against your opponent. It is illegal to hold your opponet and hit him.
The ref did not enforce these rules so the judges took it upon themselves to punish this stupid Oquendo. Byrd being a good citizen gave fres tons of credit after fight.
One last thing. One weeek from now HBO will start up its "Night of the young Heaveywieghts" television series again. The first card will air this saturday. This is great. There are 3 fights, 5 of the 6 fighters are awesome. These young heaveywights represent alll the talent coming up in the world. I recommend evryone check it out. Heres the fights Joe Mesi vs. Devarryl Williamson -(Both awesome) Juan Carlos Gomez vs. Samil Sinan Sam -(Both awesome Dominic Guinn vs. Joe Blow -(Guinn is really good)
Of All these guys me thinks Samil Sam is the best but joe mesi is the man. Hes a not so in shape white boy from buffalo who knocks people out. He hits decpetively hard (alot like marciano). This guy fights out of buffalo and is the biggest local fight card in the world. When he fights all of buffalo comes out hes like a local hero. Should be fun to watch and to see whats to become of the Heavyweight division.
PS- Tyson is signed to fight in mixed martial art K1, now Golota and briggs are trying to join aswell.

Don king has announced that Hasim Rahman will fight David Tua for teh third time for the vacant WBA belt which roy has apparently vacated to go back down in weight.
COOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL
1st fight- Rahman was winning until Tua KO'ed him in the late rounds.
2nd fight- Rahman should have won the close fight on points but it was ruled a draw.
Mayeb my main man Tua will finally be a heavyweight champ. I love that guy.

Oh oh,
On the same fight card with Tua-Rahman will be
Benard Hopkins (unified champ) vs. William Joppy (WBA)
and
Ricardo Mayorga (welterweigth champ) vs Cory sphinx
Cory sphinx is the son of one of those sphinx heavyweight champs and he holds a welterweight title. Ricardo Mayorga is the hard hitting argentinian who KO'd Vernon Forrest. Remember Vernon Forrest was the guy who beat Shane Mosley. Basically Mayorga has De la Hoya's old welter weigh tittles./
This is a great fight card. GO DON KING

That is a good fight card, even I know those names.
Hard not to root for Tua. He is one cool dude. Reminds me of Tyson a little though. Comes out like a bull set loose most times, occasions of lathargic march and weak punch attacks. I just hope he's more the former than the latter and beats the snot out that Rahman fool.
Wildly unknowledgeable predications: 1. TUA with a knockout, first round. Bllody outcry and he does Somoan dances until the entire audience joins in, laeding to the Guinness book of Records recognizing the event as the largest Simoan dance ever. 2. Hopkins goes the distance, but beats the pulp out of Joppy and wins unanimously. 3. Mayorga beats Sphinx in majority decision. Sphinx dodges, weaves, and only misses KO by doing so. 4. George Forman works in a few references to eating and cheese at the camera every chance he can get, helping service himself as a promotional figure. 5. Roy Jones shows up and says he can beat everyone that fought. He probably could, but doesn't prove it, since there is a chance that he is wrong. 6. Don King makes millions in any event.

Ha Ha, I like all of those predictions. Except ofcourse tua beating rahman in the first however Tua has clearly been out boxed by Rahman in 2 fights. So perhaps he will go completely ape shit in first round to try and get the early KO. That would be great. That george foreman part is dead on. Te only thing you left out is that Larry Merchant (short old commentator) will say something extremely cynnical and sarcastic at the end of the evnt to leave all observers depressed and sad to be alive. George will try to cheer it up but telecast will end before he can do so.

Seriously though, I think Tua needs the victory more, he never beat Lewis or any of the elite fighters, so if he can get at someone that did, he gains more credibility and perhaps more draw power.
Rahman will always have the right to say he knocked Lennox the fukk out. That will always be his claim to fame whether or not he ever wins again.
Ergo, Tua needs to get up in some Rahman noodles with a decisive victory. Preferrably a merciless onslaught in the first round ending with a KO. Plus Rahman is a real "black person" and I think he should lose, the sooner and more frequently the better.

Buck, I'm with you on all thsi stuff. Especially the part about rahman being a real "black person". The weird thing with Rahman is he is one of the most articulate boxers arround. Whcih aint saying much but still. I saw him giving a break down on the whole heavyweight division and i could not argue with him. I even respect his boxing skills and think hes a bad man. I could like the guy if he was not a racist peice of garbage. Oh well, hopefully DKB is the one true prophet and his words will become reality. Tuaman forever. Hey if ever want to check it out Tua has a really wack webpage at. www.davidtua.net
