I e-mailed stats. Will deliver hard copy in person in December.
For the record I won, Rob came in second, Papo third, Cheese fourth, Johnny fifth.

Rumors speak of the entrance of another distanced person to the league. Perhaps a military man.

Here's that homepage again: www.angelfire.com/space/dkbuckley2002/I've got the ESPN 2005 Pre-Season rankings there, all-time comparisons from past years, and other stuff. I'll be updating the rules as soon as I can. I also restarted my counter to see if anyone else is out there researching stats already.

Doesn't this start soon. I'm thinking of maybe drafting a good pitcher this time.

OK, Yahoo has the following people registered: Buckley, Rob G, Cheesebox, Woody Broas, and Pete Sylvester.
I know Papo is in and needs to register online. If anyone else is interested that is great too.
I was looking at the Saturday after this one if there are any takers. What is the good word on availability for the draft? I was thinking of renting out Madison Square Garden and a podium, but my winnings from past years don't quite cover those costs. Maybe next year.

Time to get this shit a cracking.
I have no clue if it is feasible to perform the draft tomorrow. I will begin calling all *yes all* interested parties tomorrow to ascertain. If it does, I will be relieved. If like most other things it gets procrastinated, the definative alternate date will be next Saturday, no bones about it. ;D

Thanks to everyone for draft day, it went better than ever. Even though two guys were totally new to the league and we had people in three states. We got this thing down and run a tight ship. I am very pleased. You can check the Yahoo players rankings, we took all the top dudes are there are no superstars hanging out upicked this year, thanks to the increase in league size and total players drafted. Good good good ;D You should have all already received an e-mail from me with the pre-season rankings. Please note Rob, Papo, and Booth: this is different from the file you had viewed the other night because I made a few player substitutions that had a slight effect and gave Rob the overall lead afterall (thanks to benching Griffey mostly I think). Total list of pre-season rankings as follows: 1. Gault 2. Booth 3. Buckley 4. Papo 5. Sylvester 6. Pultz

I noticed that Yahoo ranks people. It you look at your team there you can click ranks to see what it gives the dudes overall ranking as. For kicks I threw this into a spreadsheet and compared who Yahoo would rank as the best team (top 30 players only, lower ranking is better as in 1 is best):
Pitchers Buckley 77.08 Gault 96.55 Sylvester 102.00 Papo 123.09 Booth 133.42 Pultz 157.31
Hitters Sylvester 81.33 Papo 93.84 Buckley 96.33 Booth 112.28 Gault 141.16 Pultz 151.94
Total Buckley 88.63 Sylvester 89.60 Papo 104.57 Booth 120.73 Gault 124.80 Pultz 154.27
Where top ranked players are distributed: Top ten Booth 4 Buckley 2 Gault 1 Papo 1 Pultz 1 Sylvester 1
11-100 Booth 10 Buckley 18 Gault 15 Papo 16 Pultz 12 Sylvester 18
101-200 Booth 10 Buckley 7 Gault 9 Papo 11 Pultz 10 Sylvester 10
200+ Booth 6 Buckley 3 Gault 5 Papo 2 Pultz 7 Sylvester 1

I just read the Chonological historical backgorund of DKBs Fantasy Baseball league. It was great. Its alll in there even some test run i never knew about years before. DKB has real knack for capturing the spirit of a past event. That was great. Its there at www.angelfire.com/space/dkbuckley2002/baseball/history.html
