I visit a couple other boards. Warmongers Club, (warhammer) I play touriments at complete strategist almost every month and I hung with some of some of them when I lived in the city. They post all kind of crazy shit not just warhammer stuff. They do have rules no spamming, ect....I saw it and thought I was just some crazy shit to mess aroung with. We all know my real pirate name would be Long Dong Silver...

You play tournaments at complete stategist every month? Are you talking about the one on 34th street by empire state building. I think there used to be 2 or 3.
Anyway I HATE YOU
When we went to boxing i went to the strategist in a long awaited return. I was delighted to find the place better then ever. Stacked full with D&D books i never heard of and all the other good stuff. It remains the home base of world geekdom and i love it. They have not sold out like Dragons den who now sells D&D as a cursory garnish for their paintball stuff. Basterds.
Somehow they even find a place for people to play games and such. It is crazy. I love that place.
LONG LIVE THE STRATIGIST

The one by the Empire State building. The 34th street is only one stop from grand central on the 4,5,6 local. I love the city. Manhattan anyway, and I know it pretty well. Between, complete strategist, game workshop, and neutral ground uptown there are no shortage of places to get all geeked out. If you play any games with local cats you find that they are some of the smartest and most proficient at whatever you’re into. DnD, you can play in half a dozen groups every night a week if you want to. Same with just about any hobby. There is a wealth of knowledge in the city you just can't find around here. However, you can't run bullshit or they will know quick. Plus on the down side, their power gamers are ruthless and will squash you in whatever. I'm sure you know this from chess. The complete startegist is a great store and they know whats up. Dragons Den is all messed up and if so and so is not there they are clueless to help you. They don't restock very well as I bought out thier chaos stuff and needed more. they didn't get new stuff for months. Better of on line.

My name is Dirty William Cash You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr!

I came accross an 2 old Posts of mine asking monte Cook for help during the Banewarrens. ----------------------- " Help monte, the PCs have gone mad Hello monte, this may be a bit long so i will undertsnad if you never ever reply. I am currently running the banewarrens supermodule. The heroes stole the key from House Vlaadaam and returned to the house to try and steal it again. The guards came because of the ruckus and the PCs started killing them all. The House guards who turned into werewolves got in on it too. Finally after the PCs had killed 21 guards they escaped. I have enforced the alignment changes from this but am having a problem."- -------------------------- My original party entered the banewarrens and met their death at the hands of the ice elemental. So they made up new charcters and they died from the death fog. So they made up a 3rd set of charcters and they died at the darkstar gem. Every PC is affected when they open the door to the darkstar room. No one can pass a 25 DC fortitude save. So the 3rd group died too.
I decided that was unfair and let one charcter live. ANd he saved the party. They finally completed the banewarrens with their 3rd set of charcters. But i thought alot of it was unfair. ----------------
Just thought some of these were funny. I forgot how desperate i was getting back in that Maniacal campaign.

Fuck Monte. When I was doing that DnD survey thing I think he was the one guy that hid his e-mail address from the world. But he's got a website and his own shit to promote and talks about industry people should make themselves friendly and accessible to their fanbase. Hypocritical fuck.
Oh yeah, fuck him for making the Banewarrens too. lol. ;D

I love DnD but as you start to get to higher lvl's a battle takes two hours or more; really no time for roll playing or anything else. The more spellcasters the longer the battles and time between actions is increased so that you might have to wait 10 or 15 minutes between turns. I know it has to be a pain for DM's too. Plus there is nothing worse than someone saying they didn't care for the adventure after a 6 to 8 hour marathon. I thank all the DM's that allow me to play and pledge to play simpler characters that take no time perform actions. I don't think I have disliked a an adventure since the Bane warrens and allot of that we brought on ourselves. New campaign...repeat, repeat

does anybody know where i can find a good set of loaded dice?d&d is just so competative now.i dont want to cheat no no.just give myself a rules opposed advantage.a leg up.if i could just win.no.be the best.then they would have to revere me in all my immaginary might.they would bow to me and know me as true king of fantacy land.this of course will translate into reality where i will also be known as the best.placed higher than the rest. hey, wait a second.

I never come to this thread because, well, I just don't play anymore, but the Pirate Name Generator was just too good to pass up. My shit is...
Your pirate name is: Bloody Roger Kidd
Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!
Cool.
