i just watched the first three episodes of jericho. its a new show on cbs, its starts out like some guy comes come to small town get to know you show but half way through the episode every american city gets nuked but thisw small town of jericho which is a few miles away from denver is pretty much left untouched by the holocaust, and it deals with how the people of this small town deal with it. its really high budgit well writen characters, good special effects and a cool mystery to because they dont really know what happened because of the electromagnetic pulse knocked out all electric so they have to find out what s going on. i highly recomend this show much like lost it sucks you right in aqnd i cant get enough.

I have always wondered about that scenario. Mine was more like two guys fishing in the woods or on top the mountain. They don't know anything then come home to find out the entire planet went to war while they were out and McDonald's got nuked so they have to savagely fend for themselves. Just like Living Dead movies, only with radiation zombies. I will have to check out thie TV show, thanks for the heads up.

I watch the first EP and its got alot of potential. I am working on getting the other 3 Episdoes.
I always loved Zombie apocalypse movies and thought it would be awesome to do a tv show like that. Showing the breakdown of the world. The initial reaction. How people survived. The factions created in the aftermath. Which personalities took command. Over time how a new world was created. All that shit is fascinating. I dont know I only invisioned this in a Zombie context. But this show could be that show. They could get alot of seasons of quality shit too. I am excited about this. Especially since it seems like its on right before lost making a nice wednesday night 2 hour ACTION BLOCK.
Good look out larry.

Hey Jericho just got picked up for a full season. They are the only new show I know of who has accomplished this. They are averaging 10 Million viewers a week. The best of the other new shows are only doing 8 which is dead between pick-up and cancelation.

Lar, thanks for the heads up about the CBS website. I am catching episodes there so that I can watch the new shows and actually know what is going on. So far, I got to say, I really like this show. The only stupid thing was them forgetting about their salt mines. I know three things about Kansas and one is their vast network of underground salt mines used as back-up records retention. Anyhow, not a big deal, the drama is about the nukes and that stuff is cool. I hope someone gets rained on. I loved the scene with the guy with the red pins.

The scene with the pins was brilliant.
The show is very good. I am all caught up and will keep watching.
But its dragging a little and some of the stuff i dont care about. I feel like this show is gonna have some really cool shit and some really dumb shit.

Anybody else still haning on with this show? It's really mellodramatic. But there's enough meat on the bones to chew up the grizzle in between. I like when they fight over corn. That's the way this show should be, a bunch of people killing each other for rotten corn every week. Like Cheers, only killing instead of drinking. Sam Malone serves shotguns shells instead of shots.

Yeah, I'm barely hanging on here.
The mellodrama is what annoys me. But they are still dropping some good bits on info. The Black Dude being FBI was cool beans. The fact it was car bombs was cool. NYC surivivng was bad ass. I wonder who we nuked, hmmmm.
One thing is I dont care about the characters yet. but I am still in it to see what happens next.

I still like this show because they clear up a little more each week, but there isn't enough chaos for me. This town, for all it's problems, is still too perfect. There's like weeks between each episode where things are just hunky dory, and then the refugees stage an uprising. Oh well. Half the shows characters leave to go make windmills, oh well, yawn. The black FBI guy gets a visit from his fellow terrorist and his daughter kills her, oh well, yawn.
I like the show, and it's good, it just doesn't make it to the next level, you know? Can this show last more than 2 seasons?
It looks like next week may be it for the black FBI dude. They are onto him. How fucked up was it that Blondie's fiancee fights for the refugees to stay and then they can stay but at the end HE gets exiled? That's fucked up!

Your absolutly right man. It never goes to the next level. I still like it especially cause unlike lost they actually answer questions.

In a way, "Lost" is actually HELPING other shows across channels. People are so sick of not getting answers, we are actually appreciating OTHER shows that ARE giving us answers. Is ABC shooting itself in the foot here? Would shows like Jericho and Heroes be as popular without the frustrations of Lost to fuel them?
This week on Jericho was no different. We got lots of answers, but are they truthful, outright lies, or half-truths? One thing is for certain, with Jake in on the secret, at least we will continue to find out more.
Now it looks like that other town, the one proficient in mechanics, the one that is making the wind turbines, is looking to make war on Jericho, to take it's natural resources? How come I don't hear anyone on the politics thread complaining that people shouldn't go to war for wind power? ;D ;D ;D ;D

People shouldn't go to war for Windpower. They should go to war so that their names Echo in Eternity. Immortality, its yours, take it. SPARTANS
Yeah absolutly Lost makes everything seem better. Where the fuck is Heroes. That shows been off for a while.
