Yeah, this shit is shameful. We need to spend more more money. Maybe develope a tissue regeneration technique so we can fill out our line up with Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and perhaps Clark Kent. Then we might have a chance.
I dont think theres any glaring hole here. They are totally the best team in baseball. This was just the nightmare Wild Card Scenario.
I suspect that if Detroit's pitches like that they would beat almost anyone in 5 games.
I give props to them. All the news shows and DKB said their relief pitchers were bad ass. But their starters over the past 3 games were nearly unhittable. They brought it when they needed to against maybe the best hitting line up ever assembled.
I wish Detroit Luck and hope they find other acclaim this season other then Yankee Spoiler.
I too will now root for the Yankees ungle kid brother. GO METS

ARE YOU KIDDING ROUTE FOR THE METS? THAT IS MORE REDICULOUS THAN THE YANKS LOSING TO THE TIGERS. THE GHOST OF K-ROD IS ALIVE. GET RID OF THAT LOSER WHILE HE STILL HAS SOME VALUE. 3-24 IN HIS POST SEASON YANKS CAREER MAYBE THEY SHOULD PAY HIM ANOTHER $20 MIL AND GIVE HIM A BONUS.
GO ANY 1 BUT THE METS.

rob has a good plan.cut a-rod his salary could pay for the dna cloning of everybody you named.and if they auctioned off an official autographed gameused jeter jersey that would pay them more than they made in their lifetimes combined.its obvious they already have dr.frankenstien under contract to keep randys arm connected to the rest of his undead body.so what the fuck?warm up the testtubes and start the program.

Yes, and I am breeding the next generation of Yankee, one that does not fold under pressure.
It's weird for the best team in baseball to have to rebuild, but I bet that is the mindset. They have the most talent and everything, but they are not built strong enough for short series apparently. Chiefly pitching. Pitching wins World Series. Randy Johnson is a ghost and Jaret Wright is the stopper? Never going to win with that combination. They got some live arms in the minors.
Whose head will roll? Torre probably. Don't act like he ever did anything other than fill out a lineup card. There are already five managers fired and you could argue they are literally the five best managers in baseaball; Felipe Alou, Dusty Baker, Frank Robinson, Joe Girardi, and my favorite Buck Showalter. Everyone wants A-Rod out, because he looks like a little leaguer come big situations. But you can't just take out two pieces of the puzzle and expect a completely different result. That is just what they have been doing for the past five years and the only difference is a bunch of old guys asking to hold Jeter's ring collection. They need someone to play firstbase that is not a Giambi. If they can move Giambi & A-Rod that would be something else. But it's the pitching that needs to come. Throwing a bunch of old men toegether is not going to cut it anymore, time for fresh blood. It's going to be ugly this time, the Boss spent so much and got a second straight season of early exit in return. I would not be surprised if they half payroll and just let the chips fall where they may until the new stadium gets built. Maybe that's just me hoping they can these players I don't like....

I don't know much about baseball, but are Yankee pitchers supposed to fly their own planes into the sides of big buildings? I guess he was depressed they didn't go far into the playoffs, huh? ;D ;D ;D

WHAT A WASTE OF$300 MIL. NOW THE METS ARE ON THERE WAY TO ADDING TO THAT SO ITS A $500 MIL WASTE. THEY SHOULD PUT BOTH TEAMS ON A PLANE AND CRASH IT INTO GAME 4 OF WORLD SERIES THEN AT LEAST THEY KILLED THE TIGERS IN SOMETHING.
GO TIGERS/FUCKTHEMETS
YANKS MAY BE GETTING P- JASON SHMIDT FROM THE SF GIANTS AND IF IT MEANS GETTING RID OF A HOLE ROD WHO CARES SINCE THEY BOTH HAVE THE SAME AVG IN PLAYOFFS FOR LAST THREE YEARS AND THE GIANTS HAVENT PLAYED IN 2 OF THEM.
THE YANKS ARE OLD AND OUTDATED. THEY STILL DONT HAVE SOMEONE WHO CAN HIT KNUCKLE BALL(EXCEPT CANO) BUT GOOD THING FOR THEM THEY NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BOSTON AGAIN BUT NOW THEY NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN HIT A 99-103 MPH FAST BALL.
GOOD LUCK IN OFF SEASON HUNTING BUT THERE ARE NO FREE AGENTS OUT THERE.
