Well, since all my friends are leaving, I guess I really have no ties here on Earth anymore. So I will take my wife, my two turtles, my tv, DVD player, DVD collection, a solar-powered generator, and lots of fertility pills, and start my own society on a little known planet in the star system of Orion. Here I will breed a homgenous population free from race, creed or religion. Everyone will be a Conservative or be buried alive. Everyone will drink iced tea and eat pizza on Fridays and they will worship me as their patriarch.
In 1000 years I will start a war of system-wide domination, and eventually bring all the universe under my total control. Anybody interested in coming along?
If not, then this is indeed goodbye. Do not forget me. I will not forget any of you and how you have helped shape me into the being I am today. For such a gift, I may allow your new home worlds to live during my onslaught. I will ponder this.
Goodbye.

Well, more possible signs of life on Mars are being reported. Here is the synopsis of the story but the link is also included down below. timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1024156.cms"WASHINGTON: A pair of NASA scientists told a group of space officials at a private meeting here that they have found strong evidence that life may exist today on Mars, hidden away in caves and sustained by pockets of water. The scientists, Carol Stoker and Larry Lemke of NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, told the group recently that they have submitted their findings to the journal Nature for publication in May, and their paper currently is being peer reviewed. What Stoker and Lemke have found, according to several attendees of the meeting, is not direct proof of life on Mars, but methane signatures and other signs of possible biological activity remarkably similar to those recently discovered in caves here on Earth. Stoker and other researchers have long theorized that the Martian subsurface could harbor biological organisms that have developed unusual strategies for existing in extreme environments. That suspicion led Stoker and a team of US and Spanish researchers in 2003 to southwestern Spain to search for subsurface life near the Rio Tinto River, so-called because of its reddish tint— the product of iron being dissolved in its highly acidic water."

Speaking of space, the final frontier. Channel 9 canceled Star Trek Enterprise. Then the fans got heated and created a petition. Then Mike Stayzinski creator of Babylon 5 tried to rally the Mad trekkies into endorsing him as new king of star trek as he has an idea for a show. The fans rallied behind him but then then channel 9 got to him and he pulled out. Now the trekkies have enlisted private investors and have already raised 3 million towards another season of enterprise. They would 37 million to pay for a whole season. Either way all this business makes it more likely that Star Trek might get shopped arround at other networks. Like maybe channel 11 where it all started. Or how bout sci fi. But me no think cable stations have money for real shows. Either way this is all crazy space related business which shows how crazy star trek people are.

This sounds stupid enough to be possible. Scientists are crazy people: news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050705/ap_on_fe_st/russia_comet_caseMOSCOW - NASA's mission that sent a space probe smashing into a comet raised more than cosmic dust — it also brought a lawsuit from a Russian astrologer. Marina Bai has sued the U.S. space agency, claiming the Deep Impact probe that punched a crater into the comet Tempel 1 late Sunday "ruins the natural balance of forces in the universe," the newspaper Izvestia reported Tuesday. A Moscow court has postponed hearings on the case until late July, the paper said. Scientists say the crash did not significantly alter the comet's orbit around the sun and said the experiment does not pose any danger to Earth. The probe's comet crash sent up a cloud of debris that scientists hope to examine to learn how the solar system was formed. Bai is seeking damages totaling $300 million — the approximate equivalent of the mission's cost — for her "moral sufferings," Izvestia said, citing her lawyer Alexander Molokhov. She earlier told the paper that the experiment would "deform her horoscope." NASA representatives in Russia could not be reached for comment on the case.

How the mighty have fallen. What ever happened to those good old soviet bad asses i was raised to hate.
I remember a time when you would get shot for saying "Can i have something more to eat".
Oh well. I think this lawsuit is BS. But i do think that we should consider some ground rules for altering things in space.

OK, anybody have any ideas about SONO Luminesence? Any body have any ideas about what is actually going on here? i have been looking intio this for 3 years and I keep finding the same old shit on the net about it. Its not Space related, well it could be, but I think this fits more here than anywhere else. here is a primer www-phys.llnl.gov/N_Div/sonolum/shit you can even buy a kit to do this, www.sonoluminescence.com/really though, how bored does a scientist need to be to have placed a bubble in a spere and hit it with sound waves until something happened? huh? still, they really cant explain the "catastrophic collapse" the bubble has and where the light comes from. some even say it creates a macro rip in space and it pops out of existence into somewhere else. I dunno. It is real interesting though I'll get around to doing this sometime.

If this is true it is really fucking cool and really fucking fascinating. GOOD POST LINEARONE, I knew you could do it.
I saw something like this in a movie. Yes all my life's knowlegde is from movies. The movie was CHAIN REACTION starring Keanu Reeves. Scientists try to create cold fusion (nulcear fusion without the use of extreme temperture or pressure). In the film they were using focused lasers to fuse hydrogen in water. But for whatever reason the reaction was unstable would not continue to function. But Keanu Reeve's discovers the secret by utilising harmonics at a certain pitch to stabilise the reaction. Then once he has the secret to free energy forever all hell breaks loose and a fugitive like chase movie ensues. I liked this movie.
Anyhow, this is fascinating. For some reason I tend to think that humans beings now know everything there to know about all things. That there is no more big discovers. Even though the advent of nuclear fision and fusion was about as big as the advent of fire, Maybe this sonoluminenssese is the next big step.
Sign me up.

I will respond in greater detail tomorrow, it is too late now. but yes I think that for all we know its amazing what children we really are. We still have no idea what light even is, we can manipulate it and make it work for us but we dont understand it. isnt that funny? I think lihgt is the key, when we figure that out everything else (time travel, space travel, etc..) will all come into focus.

The diagram I saw for the reaction described was eerily similar to the diagram shown for Big Bang theory. But that could be coincidence or just an example of what some study as indicative that there are indelible patterns that reemerge on numerous scales throughout existence. Somehow related to the spirals done by Pollack that actually follow fractal patterns. Fractals. Anyhow, maybe this little reaction has ramifications for bigger patterns on much larger scales. Very interesting. The audio component reminds me of the work of Tesla to create a free energy source for all by using the Earth as a sounding board to bounce resonance off for others to convert into energy for use. And of course Tesla the band was most famous for a song called Signs. Signs being the name of a Mel Gibson movie before he turned to the Passion of the Christ. Proving that there is no line to be drawn between science and religion.

it defiantely is scary... You will all be pleased to know I purchased an industrial quality ultra sonic vibratory cleaner on ebay, it uses a vacum tube to generate the ultra sonic waves, This is no batery operated jewelry cleaner. I will disect this unit and use it in my experiment. if possible. If not I will have a great cleaner.
