Not that it matters to slobs like us, but do y'all think DnD has gotten the same respectability as computer games and video games yet?

I hope that was dave bucknuts who left that last post.
Anyhow D&D is the bomb but computer and video games seem to rule the world. I can even understand it now as GRAND THEFT AUTO VICE CITY was the sickest shit i ever saw.
For me, i'll just take a paper some pencils and dice.

Me learning computers. Sorry posts no name me right. It better now.
I always thought the social aspect of playing DnD was more healthy than sitting in a room by yourself. The Internet gaming exists, Diablo style, but it none of it is face to face. Not that our sessions were the exemplification of social interaction or anything, but somehow more human than typing and readin on end... yes, I would rather have this here conversation in person that via a messageboard. We just do it this way because it is easier and frankly the only way to balance schedules and the like.
Back to DnD. I think it is more intelligent and thus the gamers more intelligent than the multitude that play playstation and the ilk (sorry Larry and your awesome controller). I think this correlates to intelligent young people being insulted for their wit and the transferrance of slander onto the poor game. Like pocket protectors mean you are one true geek. Etc, etc.

I think we all like video games. But the fact that we would rather play DnD says something, does it not? I would venture to say that folks like us like getting more mental and social stimulation out of our recreation. While others do not want anything more than animated creatures on a television screen. I am not putting others down as much as trying to put us up, if that makes any sense.

Hey i beat vice city by myself fred. I was able to do much better with the guys rushing in to get the safe by posting up in the corner and using spaz shotgun. I tried beating it a third time by using missile laucher against sunny but it did not work.
In other news i managed to get 6 full felony stars and then the miliatary came after me with tanks. It was great.

No, i did not steal a tank. You dont even get the chance. Out of no where 2 tanks come and crush you.
What i was actually tring to acheive was to get 6 stars then draw the police, fbi, swat team, and army back to the house before the finally with Lance and Sonny. You know to make the carnage that much more. But uf you do that thye just make your stars disappear.
