But if you'd like some flimsy rumors i have some. "They" say villians in episode 3 will include the fully grown up Boba Fett and a new villian named General Greivus.

More flimsy
I understand that the final fight scene (i am assuming Obi-wan vs. Anakin) is to the longest fight scene ever at 12 minutes.

ALAS,
I own the holy trilogy on DVD. I picked it up 2 hours after its relise at 2 am at walmart. I had the bitch open the box and get me one. HA HA. It only cost 41 dollars and that was the cheapest i saw.
The film quality is great. They have gone over since the 97 remaster. I am guessing they totally converted to digital and stepped it up. It looks like a modern day movie. The scenes that were added in the 97 Special edition are still there ASWELL AS NEW CHANGES that were not advertised and only noticed by one as estute as myself.
(1)First change i noticed was the scene in Empire strikes back when Vader is speaking to hollow projection of the emperor. This is actual the first appearance of the emperor. And in the original it was played by some random actor and the makeup was weird too. Ian Macdiarmond would come to play the emperor in return of the jedi and then in episode 1 and 2. In the new DVDs they have redone that scene in Empire with Ian Macdiarmond doing the emperor as should have been. They also changed the converstaion a little bit to make it fit with the old movies.
(2)They have changed Boba Fetts voice. Originally Boba Fetts voice was done by some tough sounding greaser type person. But now the voice is done by the actor who played Jango Fett in the earlier episodes. This only makes sense as Boba is an exact clone of Jango. But i dont like them messing with my trilogy and i liked Bobas greasy voice as opposed to a new Zealand accent. Anyhow most probably would never notice this. Boba only has 3 lines in the entire trilogy but being he is the only person to successfully talk shit to darth vader i thought this lines were important. And finally what about the poor dude whose only claim to fame is that he was the voice to Boba Fett.
I imagine there must be other changes and i will be on the look out.
The 4 disc in the set has like 4 or 5 documentaries. One is enormous like 2 hours long and is called empire of dreams. It documents The making of all 3 films and the founding of Lucasfilm ltd. There are also cool interveiws in there with classic movie directors Speilberg, Cameron, Ridley Scott, Peter Jackson, and others.
THERE WILL BE NO ONE TO STOP US THIS TIME

Oh my god, The plot thickens,
I found one more thing they changed on the new Star Wars DVD and they kept it a secret. Its insane.
In return of the Jedi in the closing scene after the battle is done and everyone is partying with Ewoks. Luke sees the ghosts of Obi wan, Yoda, and Anakin. Originally anakin appeared as an old man played by the same actor who played the unhelmed Darth Vader. In the new DVD this actor has been replaced with none other then Hayden Christianson. The actor who plays anakin in Episodes 2-3. Anakin appears as his young self obviously. This is a huge and controversal change. I myslef liked to think of the two trilogies as seperate entities. Oh well. The only bad part is that this is and will always be the only version of Star Wars available on DVD.
My first thought continuity wise was that the Star Wars Ghosts always appear at the age in which they died. But someone mentioned that perhaps Anakin appears in his young version to symbolise his appearance before his descent into the dark side.
