Don Cheadle 10. Jodie Foster yeah a little off the top of the head, but I figured the beginnings for a potentially good thread?

I totally wanted to put Daniel Day Lewis, Willam Defoe, and William Macy on my list, but cut it off at ten so it wouldn't be outrageous list of 1001 actors. I agree with Rob about women actors being more flash and sizzle than meat on the bones, but I had to throw one in or my wife would clobber me with a frying pan. LUCY, CALM DOWN! OK, fine, I just felt a pain of conscious demanding some woman up there. Kathy Bates is good in my book, but not great. Like a Dennis Quaid (who I do like). Patrick Stewart is good nuts too, I just fail to see him as anything but Captain Picard and giggle a little sometimes when he's all Shapespearian. But I guess now he IS Professor X.
I guess I can't front though: Bruce Campbell is the man, perhaps more than any actor funny as shit to watch. There is real skill in what he does, whatever you want to call it. Way to include Bruce Lee Fred, I salute you. ;D

Thanks Dave I feel that bruce really opened the way for the whole martial arts genre. I also feel that if bruce did not die young he would have been a much bigger star. He put everything he had into every thing he did.

Kathy Bates is good shit. I also had to restrain myself from naming 10,000 actors. I would be interested in examining the the top ten preatty actresses vs the top 10 non preatty actresses.
Bruce lee was great a kung fu. But as an actor. I dont know. He sure did try hard though. I gotta add this too. If for no other reason then to infuriate Bruce lee fans. I always thought the guy came off extremely arrogant. He was the best kung fu guy. Not Albert Einstein. --Let the hits come.
Bruce Campell is mad funny. I mean in real life too. I saw him at a book review and he took the podium and he is mad funny. He could have been a comedian. Hes alot smarter then he should be too.

Bruce Lee seemed arrogent this is true. I have heard that he was arrogant. He was smart though and he was not just a martial artist , athlete and actor he was a philosopher. As a pure actor no he was not even close but he gets an A for effort especially since the film industry tried to keep him down cause he was chinese. He was by the way 1/4 German. As for the other Bruce well he has a style all his own. He was mas good nuts in the Xena, Hercules shows as Autalicus King of theives. And who can forget the Ash character? Just cause he is not in the mainstream big budget movies does not mean the he is not an awesome actor.are his movies instant classics no are his characters some of the most memorable yes!!!!!

{as you wish} Bruce Lee was the man. I will now write an exhaustive essay about his finer points. No wait, I am not Mr. Bruce Lee fan. I do admire his ambition, skill, and star-power. The man totally revolutionized popular culture across the world with his introduction of serious kung pow action. As far as Hollywood movies he made Enter the Dragon and died, so its impossible to say anything of worth about him as an actor. All the Chinese movies are mad low budget and directed by someone as talented at directing as my cousin Nick (who is about sixteen now). You gotta admit though that had Green Hornet and that David Carradeen stuff went differently he could have made a whole array of films before he died. Or gotten killed by Chinese mafia even earlier, hahaha, damn tylenol. But again I salute Fred to include the guy because he was the absolute best at what he did and brought it to the movies and indeed created the genre in Hollywood. Hard to say that about too many other actors. Q: What other "good" movies has our main man Bruce Campbell done? I say "good" because it is relative and we all like that goofy Evil Dead shit, but some people think it is garbage. I'll check on IMDB, but that is a little funny sometimes.

A LIST
1. Russell Crowe 2. Robert De Niro 3. Bruce Willis 4. Sean Connery 5. Anthony Hopkins 6. Arnold 7. Tom Cruise 8. Clint Eastwood 9. Mel Gibson 10. Tom Hanks
B List (by no means are these guys second to anybody)
1. Al Pacino 2. Paul Newman 3. Gene Hackman 4. Val Kilmer 5. Tom Sizemore 6. Johnny Depp 7. Christopher Walken 8. Morgan Freeman 9. Ed Harris 10. Tom Berenger
Honorable Mentions
1. Bill Paxton 2. Michael Douglas 3. Robin Williams 4. Kevin Spacey 5. Harrison Ford 6. Tim Robbins
Females
1. Julia Roberts 2. Sigourney Weaver 3. Jodie Foster
I guess I figured these people out by thinking of who would be starring in a movie that I would definitely go to see if they were in it, regardless of any and all hype surrounding the movie.
Sorry, I just HAD to have a B List of other stars I just couldn’t live without. They aren’t necessarily second fiddle to the A List, just a bunch of other actors I love.
I guess you have to give Bruce Lee kudos for opening up the acting world for the chinese and breaking down the barriers but nobody can really accuse him of being an actor. He just couldn’t act. Rather, I would say that he inspired others to act…like martial artists so we could practice our kicks and judo chops on our little brothers and visa versa.
