Yeah,
Sopranos is good and back again. Great start but like papo said, its messed up to hit us with a cliffhanger right off the bat.
I think all Tonys luetenents are gonna kill him together at the end of the season. Give it the Julius Caezar ending.

Re: Lar's post on "It takes a Thief"... This is a good show in that it lets the public know the weak spots in their home security... but I think it would be an even better public service to take those two thieves and thrash them after they commit the burglary in order to educate the scumbags, too. Why should those two ass clowns make any money? To keep the season going, you can seek out fresh thieves (white collar too)

Good fucking point Pete. You have always bring the unique perspective. At the very least they could list the crimes commited and how much prison time doing such things bring.
I saw some shit larry showed me on faces of death where a burglar broke into a bank safe and dragged the manager in. But the vault was on a time delay till opening on monday. They would run out of oxygen before then. THe cops had to get a bad ass bank robber out of prison to open the safe. He had all these arcaic tools and such. Anyhow as soon as the robber in the vault relised the oxygen problem he shot the manager. Then he sufficated.

The season premier of the Sopranos was good. Last night's episode was just downright annoying. Just because the show enjoys a huge following doesn't give the writers carte blanche to show Tony as a business executive salesman wandering around in hotels, boring the shit out of its viewers. It almost like, since there are no commercials, they will just put Tony in dream sequences that make no sense, reveal almost nothing, and just waste time.
Frankly, I began watching the show recently since I got HBO, dying to check out what all the hoopla is about with this show. There is not one single, solitary character that has any redeeming qualities. I hate them all and wish that by the end of this last season, they all be placed in jail indefinitely, or all die in a mob war.
Tony goes to therapy. Why? He hasn't made any real progress. I see no change in him, his character, homocidial tendencies, or sociopathic behavior. Is this just a waste of time? I understand he is seeing Melfi for the panic attacks, but since he is continuing to go, one would think that progress would be made in other areas, i.e. a redemption/repent scenario. Tony will never repent, never be redeemed.
And who fucking cares about his stupid whore daughter, Meadow? And fuck A.J. too. And someone smack Carmen around too. All she is, is a money hungry bitch. How can she be upset that Tony is fucking other bitches on the side? HELLO!!!!! He's a mobster! He's a mobster BOSS! What the fuck is she thinking?
And does it bother anybody else that these big time mobsters never realize that they are about to get whacked? You think experience would have taught them anything?
I like that Adrianna got whacked. What a stupid bitch. Stupid bitch. Stupid bitch. HELLO! You're engaged to another sociopathic maniac, were you surprised when you got a bullet in the brain? Stupid bitch.
I actually liked Steve Buscemi for a little while. It looked like he was getting his life together, then, without any preamble, he goes berserk, attacks the guy that's trying to help him, and of course, BAM. Shotgun to the head. After he beat up the Korean guy, I was glad he got whacked.
This show is just helping me enjoy a bunch of scumbags whacking each other, but frankly, the show could be better.

Yeah, the second episode sucked ass. What the fuck. I hope this dont go on for too long.
Yeah none of the characters are good people at all. They dont even pretend.
Tony has made progress in therapy but not the kind your supposed to make. Hes become a better manipulator and reader of people. Thats it. Anmy tools you give tony he will use for evil. Hes a son of a bitch.
Aside from the robbing and killing and cheating. Hes even a nasty fucker. I thought this no more evident then when his sister (the fat one) took anger management classes and was really doing better. Tony purposely pushed and pushed her to get her angry and go berserk. Then laughed at her as he left. If he cant move beyond the baggage his mom gave him then he wont allow her to either. Fucking scumbag.
But really that scene really examplifies the complexity and realistic pathologies of characters. Thats why i think the show it awesome. But they gotta do better this season.
Evil Yeah the whole crime family si evil for various independant reasons. Junior too. Carmella is what ken said, a money grubbing whore. If Tony had no dough she would leave. She wants to hold on to her faith and judgements. She may even l;ike being married to Tony for the moral superiority it gives her. But in the end shes a piece of shit doing whats best for her life style at the expense of her children. Shes "Going to hell when she dies" BITCH Tonys mom was evil too she totally manipulated Junior into trying to kill her son. BITCH Melfi is OK, not evil, but she keeps Tony as a patient even when she shouldn't because the danger he generates excites her. Meadow is an angel AJ is ok too
I do miss Steve Buscemi, he was cool and interesting and all things good. I like Johnny sac too.

i concure, that second episode was ass stank joice
as far as all the characters being evil, its a show about the mofia what do you expect. if you wanna see a show about good law abiding citizens check out seven heaven. you guys can hug the tv everytime the family hugs on the show.
i do believe this season will end one of two ways with either tony turning states evidence which would be totally out of character or my favorite tony getting wacked. how cool would it be if the final scene of the show is the cell doors closing on in tonys face, him getting life in prison without the possibility of parole.
i heard a rumor that tony will die really soon and the show will jump back in time one yaer and continue from t5here. this rumor is totally unreliable but i thought i would throw it out there for conversation sake

hey pete i was thinking somewhat of the same thing about it "takes a theif". while they are showing people the weeknesses in there home they are also showing crooks qwhere those same weeknesses are. of course criminals probally dont watch the discovery channel to much but still. who knows if these guys where really criminals or if its just for the show ,but in a world where murderous drug deal9ing pimps get million dollar rap contracts like snoop dog or 50 cent, i think two x burglers with a show on the discovery channel is the least of our problems.

I think they will keep Tony down most of the season and we will see the madness that ensues with no leader. Then when he does heal he will want out of the mafia. But just like the guy he would not let go in that first episode Tony will not be allowed. At the final fariwell with his captains they will all kill him together. Julius Caezar style.
NO matter what though i dont wanna see no more fantasy Tony as a surburbanite

The ultimate fighter kicks ass...I use to like boxing but ultimate fighting is my new/old shit. No loud mouth flashy nigs. Just two men and lots of blood and pain. With the new standup rule the number of brawls are great. Like a Gotti fight. There are some submissions but only when someone is tired or sloppy. trust me watch spike's Ultimate knockouts/fights or even the series. Tito Ortis and Ken "old ass" Shamrock are the coaches this season. They will fight at the end. IT's on at 10pm on Thursday and they have an hour of fights before the series. About four different ones. Check the heavy wieght champ Arlovski he wears fangs. He is fighting Tim Silvia a 6'8" guy who hardly ever get takin down and throws crazy knees. I just thought i'd share..

There should be a detective show called "Johnny Monkey," because every week you could have a guy say "I ain't gonna get caught by no MONKEY," but then he would, and I don't think I'd ever get tired of that.

Ring, you say some of the funniest shit on the planet.
I know Arlofski, that dude is a serious bad ass. The total package. I thought Sylvia was just a big stupid till i saw knock a dude the fuck out with a flying knee. It was crazy. I did not believe that flying knees was something legitimate. Its more like a maneuver M. Bison would use in Street Fighter 2. But no its for real. I dont understand though. As i understand it this show is a reality show much like the contender. Are you saying they show unrelated fights in the hour before. And they have real dudes like Sylvia.
