I just got the Eberron world book for my birthday and I have to say there are some really cool additions to D&D in there. I really liked the action points. Action points are like special little boost to help you succeed on a die roll. Kind of like heroic luck. You can roll a d6 and add that to your d20 roll; only one per roll. You only get a certain amount per level. You can take feats to improve them and you get more as you go up. Also the new artificer class is way cool. The new races are really cool. Warforged are living constructs that are made of metal and other elements by artificers(Tranformers,Box from Alpha Flight). Shifters are minor lycanthropes. (Sabortooth, werewolf bitch in x-men). Changlings are half/doppleganger.(Myst-eek). Also dragon mark houses(dune) run commerce and trade with the advantage of thier magical tatoos(1 boundspell). With floating moving fortresses and Railcars powered by chainlghtning this is a cool new dynamic world. The tone is described as dark crossed with swashbuckling, Indiana Jones-esk.

Yes, I also have this book and it is good. Still fantasy D&D with enough new to make it new. I like the lightning rail and air ship transportation. Magic is basically used in everything the way mathematics are used in every fascet of advanced civilization. They also say that the encounters are meant to be like action movie scenes which i have been trying to do for years. The only part thats lacking is the large scope of it. Theres only like 4 contnents and they right next to each other with little diversity. Theres simply not enough information to constitute a new world. They would been better making this an advbanced region in forgotten realms or something. Still preatty cool

It would cool to try and work it into another world. You could always add it to a world of your own. You could put it in a planescape setting. You could also flesh out the rest of world yourself with the addition of you own continent maybe stormrealm. Probably they will come out with more info and supplements.

True.
They actually just came out with the Planar Handbook. This book is not very good and is the poor rehashing of Placesacape. For the most part Ebberron is the most Innovative D&D has been in some time.
