D&D now has phone support for rules queries. You can call between 7-6. This is insane. I am too scared to try and see but i wonder if it works if they actually know what they are talking about.
Phone: 800-324-6496
This is insane.

"DND Help Line , how can I assist you?" "My dice don't roll twenties and my DM doesn't even have a module, he's just making fun of our characters over and over again"
They are really opening themselves up here. BUT, I remember Nintendo did something very very similar when we were young and they had people who would help you through tough parts of the games if you got stuck. (no, not me, I never owned Nintendo, Mike Cavagnollo).
I find it hard to believe enough people will call this line to make it worth the costs for Wizards, but I am not a professional employed in the industry. I bet 99% are rules questions and they decide to makes more cinfusing rules and introduce DnD 5.0 with totally different rules just to further confuse and raise their revenues from book sales and phone calls.

That's awesome! I can't believe it works, that is awesome. Not sure how it helps anyone make money, but I love the idea.
What did you ask?

I was sitting right there and totally dumped in my pants.
Fred just dialed the number and there was no waiting or anything. Some guy answers and says
"This is chris how may i help you."
Fred says
"Hi chris do you answer D&D rules questions"
Chris: "Yes"
Fred: "Ok, if a guy has a continigency can he set the parameters so that if he is reduced to 1 hp he will teleport away. And if so if he then takes 200 points of damage from a spell and that 200 points would more then kill him. Does he stop taking damage at 1hp."
Chirs " Blah blah blah ... Yes"
Fred: "I got another one for you, can a guy with mobility tumble in, attack and then tunmble back out".
Chris: "Well first you need spring attack"
Fred: "Yes, thats what i meant"
Chris: "Yes you can do it providing you only move a total of 1/4 your total speed and the DC is increased by 10."
Fred: "Thanx"
Rob " Holy mary mother of god that was insane."

This is totally awesome. Unbelievable. Every argument can possibly be ended with a brief phone call. Threat to the DM? Hardly, these guys will tell you to obey the DM, that's in the rules too. I just cannot believe it is a 1-800 number & free. This is so cool.

I dont think this works,
I called the D&D hotline twice now and both times iI was not happy with what i got.
I asked about an ability. He asked what book it was in. Then he asked what page number. Then he read it to me. (THANX)
I asked a question he said Oh, i really dont know.
Then he held his hand over the phone and asked someone else.
He made a poor uneducated guess.
The worst. ----------- The last time i called the guy just kept saying "Well, thats really DM's option" No shit, its all DM option but as the dungeon master i would atleast like to understand the intention of the material you published numb nuts.
How bout this cocksucker, If your gonna raise the price of your books by 5 dollars every 6 months an publish complete garbage such as Frostburn and the Complete Cobbler perhaps you could atleast make the material within easy to understand.
PS- The EMAIL sage however is the real deal and knows his shit. Hes just fickle about returning emails or answering multiple questions.
